This page is a collection of documents about Wild Gears. This will include digital copies of all the inserts that are shipped with orders, or specific gear sets as well as other resources like gear tables.
How to read these gear tables:

This is the table for the compact gear set. The left column and top row of numbers are both all the gears, hoops, and rings in the Compact gear set. If you want to know how many petals any gear combination will make, just look up the entry for it.

For example if you want to know how many petals the 16 gear will make in the 48 ring, then you can find the 16 row and look across it until you find the 48 column, and the number there is 3

The Ultra Table

The Wild Gears Ultra Table is a spreadsheet where you can select the gear sets that you want to know about and it will automatically generate a gear combination table for all the gears, rings, hoops in the selected gear sets.

The Ultra Table is also available as a google sheets document:
1) Open this link, it will take you to the Wild Gears Ultra-Table
2) If you are not signed into your google account, sign in now. The button is at the top right of the page.
3) Select the file menu, and from that choose "Make a copy" (see picture 1)
4) A window will appear: Rename your file as desired and press the 'Make a copy button' (see picture 2)
Congratulation! You now have your very own copy of the Wild Gears Ultra-Table
Note: If new gear sets are added in the future, you will need to make a new copy of the Ultra-Table"

Note: The Ultra Table was updated on November 20th, 2024. If you have a version from before then you should update it as there were mistakes in its calculations.

This document was written as a longer (4 page) pamphlet with various details about Wild Gears. It was not included in many packages and some of the information has been transplanted to various parts of this webpage.
