1. Do you ship to my country?
Yes! Wild Gears ship globally. The Wild Gears shop checkout should be able to give you shipping quotes for almost every country in the world. If, for some reason, it isn't working please email [email protected] with details of where you are shipping to and I'll sort it out for you.

2. What Pens should I use with Wild Gears?
There is a page with details about pen and paper selection. Stabilo Fineliners are a general favorite. Most art pens will work well with Wild Gears. I strongly encourage experimentation with different kinds of pens. Ballpoint vs. Felt tip vs. other types again. Each will give different line quality and appearance and have different down sides. For example ball point pens don't tend to bleed ink into the paper when held still as much felt tip pens will but they can sometimes struggle to provide enough ink if moving the pen quickly.
Gel pens and felts that put down a layer of paint or wet ink are extra hard to use as they leave a surface layer of ink that is wet and globby and is easily smeared by the movement of the gears. Maybe don't start with these hard pens.

4. Does one Wild Gears gear set work with other Wild Gears gear sets?
Yes! All Wild Gears gear sets are designed to work together. The gear sets are designed with the assumption that they will be combined.

5. What Gear Set should I buy first?
You should start with the Full Page gear set, or the Compact gear set. Each of these gear sets are designed to be a wonderful stand alone gear set with a ton of variety. They are also designed to complement each other when combined for even more options.

7. How do I get Free Shipping?
A: Most destinations have a threshold for free shipping. The Wild Gears shop displays in your local currency, when possible, so I list the free shipping thresholds in Canadian Dollars and in 'number of large gear sets'. Single page large gear sets are all the same price so it is a currency neutral way to express it.

Orders are shipped via Canada Post. All packages are shipped with a tracked service so a tracking number is always provided. Tracking numbers are sent by email once your order has been packaged and is ready to ship.
*As of Fall 2025 some shipping is done with private shipper, Chit Chats, to deliver packages to the USPS system or into the PostNL system for European deliveries. This is due to current shipping challenges, like the Canada Post labour dispute and other logistics issues. If you have questions about how your specific order will be handled, please reach out via email or the contact link at the top of the page. Be sure to include your shipping destination along with your question.

Most orders are packaged and in the postal system within 24 hours. If it is especially busy, or your order is large, it may take 2-3 days to make and package your order. If there is going to be more of a delay than that you will receive an email about the delay and the expected timeline.

Package delivery times vary according to many factors, only a few of which I can control. For North America, package delivery time is usually listed as 7 business days or less. For Europe, package delivery time is usually listed as 10 business days or less. For the rest of the world 14-21 business days is a reasonable estimate. Yes, but you almost certainly don't want that. Wild Gears does not ship regularly with any courier (FedEx, UPS, ect.) and so doesn't have any business discount rates. Historically quotes for courier shipping have come back at least CAD$200-CAD$300 more than the Canada Post rates and the coureurs often have unexpected handling fees for shipping internationally that they collect on delivery. I do not recommend it.
